Dr. Aichi Chien is a Professor in the Dept of Radiology, Interventional Neuroradiology, in the UCLA Medical School. Since 2009, Dr. Chien has been a faculty member of the UCLA Medical School Short-Term Training Program and the Cross-disciplinary Scholars program of the UCLA CTSI Medical Education. Dr. Chien's research interests center on stroke prevention. Dr. Chien's contributions to medicine are recognized internationally and include being elected as a Fellow of the American Heart/Stroke Association (FAHA), elected to the AHA Research Leaders Academy, and overseeing the AHA National Effort of Strategically Focused Research Networks. Dr. Chien has authored > 120 scientific papers and received numerous awards from NIH and NSF, the American Heart Association, the Society of Interventional Radiology, the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, the Bee Foundation, and the Brain Aneurysm and AVM Foundation.
