Dr. Shreya Garg is an EBIR-certified Interventional Radiologist and third-year DrNB trainee in Interventional and Endovascular Radiology at the R. N. Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Narayana Health, Kolkata. Training at one of India’s highest-volume endovascular centres, she has developed wide-ranging expertise across dialysis access, venous and arterial interventions, aortic procedures, and interventional oncology, while maintaining an EBIR-compliant procedural logbook.
Her clinical exposure includes extensive experience in dialysis access salvage, central venoplasty and stenting, DVT and pulmonary embolism interventions, EVAR/TEVAR, embolisation for haemorrhage and visceral aneurysms, and ablative oncology, including radiofrequency, microwave and cryoablation. She also performs hepatobiliary, women’s health, musculoskeletal and image-guided oncologic procedures. During her training, she has recorded one of the highest trainee procedural volumes nationally, participating in several hundred complex vascular and oncologic interventions.
Dr. Garg is actively engaged in academic leadership as an elected Council Member of the ISVIR Junior Wing, contributing to national trainee education through webinars, masterclasses, workshops and conference programming, while also representing Indian trainees at international fora such as CIRSE and APSCVIR. Her research achievements include a Certificate of Commendation from the National Board of Examinations for her thesis on intravascular ultrasound-guided treatment of central venous obstruction in haemodialysis access.
She has presented prize-winning oral papers and posters at national meetings and authored abstracts accepted at CIRSE, APSCVIR and SIR.
She has also received the 'Best trainee award' by ISVIR in 2026.
Passionate about patient-centred, evidence-based IR, Dr. Garg is deeply involved in resident training, case-based teaching and IR awareness initiatives. She aims to advance minimally invasive therapy through innovation, research collaboration and mentorship, while building high-quality interventional radiology services in India
