Dr. Hyunchul Rhim graduated from Hanyang University School of Medicine in 1985 and completed his radiology residency in 1989. Since 2005, he has been a professor of radiology at Samsung Medical Center, Sungkyunkwan University. Dr. Rhim has published 240 SCI papers, mainly on liver tumor ablation, and contributed to the textbook *Malignant Liver Tumors: Current and Emerging Therapy*. He has delivered over 50 invited international lectures at major meetings such as CIRSE, ECIO, SIO, and RSNA, and serves as a reviewer and section editor for leading journals. He is a co-founder of the Asian Society of Tumor Ablation (ASTA) and served as Host Chair of ACTA 2016. Currently, he is President of the Korean Liver Cancer Association and the Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine, and Co-Chair of APPLE 2023, Seoul.
