Junqi Yang is a professional Master’s degree candidate in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at The Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. Driven by a strong interest in cardiovascular epidemiology, Junqi's primary research focuses on clinical big data analysis and the prognostic impact of physiological variabilities on cardiometabolic health.
Throughout the master's program, Junqi has developed solid capabilities in systematic literature review and large-scale data mining. Junqi’s foundational master's thesis investigates the association between blood pressure variability and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risks. Building upon this framework of physiological variability, Junqi’s recent research utilizes massive datasets to uncover novel clinical insights. At this conference, Junqi will present a study titled, "Association Between Body Weight Variability and the risk of cardiovascular disease in individuals with cardiovascular–kidney–metabolic (CKM) syndrome stages 0–3: a prospective cohort study from the UK Biobank." This work highlights an established proficiency in analyzing complex, large-scale cohorts like the UK Biobank for cardiovascular risk stratification.
