I am currently a professor of Interventional Radiology, Department of Radiology at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Asan Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. I I received my MD degree with honors in 1997 from the University of Kosin, College of Medicine (Pusan, Korea). I became a Fellow in 2002 from the University of Ulsan College of Medicine, Asan Medical Center (Seoul, Korea). I obtained a Ph.D. in Radiology from University of Ulsan College of Medicine (Ulsan, Korea).
I invented PARTO procedure, some biliary metallic stents, and endovascular embolization techniques. My clinical expertise is in hepatobiliary diseases, liver transplantation, and vascular diseases. I also have specific training in Interventional Radiology in patients with portal hypertension for therapeutic control of variceal bleeding, benign and malignant biliary diseases, and hepatocellular carcinoma. I am available to perform most interventional procedures needed in patients with vascular and non-vascular diseases.
I published more than 200 international papers.
