Dr.Squarcia graduated at the Medicine Faculty of the Universitá degli Studi de Parma in 1999, and obtained the certification in Diagnostic Radiology at the Radiology Department of the Ospedale Maggiore di Parma in 2003. He actually work as a Board cerfied radiologist in the neuroradiology Unit of at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain. He started his interventional ultrasound experience in the BCLC in 2001 dedicated to radiofrecency ablation of liver tumors.

He actually work at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona in the radiology department where he is in charge of the ultrasound guided intervention of the head and neck and thyroid ablation. Under his direction since 2012 Hospital Clinic Barcelona introduced ultrasoud guided percutaneous ablation of thyroid nodules in Spain with different percutaneous techniques such as Laser ablation, Radiofrequency ablation, HIFU and microwave ablation and contributed to their diffusion over Europe and South America.

Dr.Squarcia participated in different scientific publications in the area of neuroradiology andhead and neck radiology of national and international journals.
