Dr. Vicky Yang Wang received Bachelor of Engineering and PhD degree (Bioengineering) from The University of Auckland in 2007 and 2012, respectively. In 2015, Dr. Wang was awarded the New Zealand National Heart Foundation Research Fellowship. Dr. Wang joined the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (USA) in 2017 as a research scholar. In 2020, Dr. Wang became a research scientist at the Department of Radiology, Stanford University (USA) to lead a clinical imaging study exploring the mechanisms underpinning heart failure. In 2023, Dr. Wang joined the Center of Intelligent Diagnosis and Therapy (Taizhou), Hangzhou Institute of Medicine (HIM), Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the vice-president. The Center of Intelligent Diagnosis and Therapy (Taizhou) is a research center co-established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Hangzhou Institute of Medicine and Zhejiang Cancer Hospital.
Dr. Wang’s key research area includes:
- Multi-modality medical image analysis
- Computational modeling/Digital Twin
- Translation research in clinical cardiology and oncology
- Artificial-intelligence based interventional radiology
Dr. Wang has published more than 50 high quality SCI articles and 17 CPCI conference proceedings spanning across multiple disciplinary.
