As a Vascular and Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist, I assist in a wide range of vascular and non-vascular procedures, working closely with interventional radiologists. My experience includes assisting with visceral angiographies such as GI bleeds, trauma, and tumor embolization, as well as neuro interventions like 3-D cerebral angiographies and cerebral aneurysm coiling. I also assist in peripheral vascular interventions, including angioplasties and vascular stenting, as well as non-vascular percutaneous procedures such as PTC, PCN, biliary stenting, and gastrostomy.

In addition to my technical responsibilities, I also manage the day-to-day operations of the IR suite, including patient scheduling, coordination with the unit receptionist (UR) and registered nurses (RNs) regarding patient preparation, transportation, and follow-ups. This coordination ensures a seamless experience for patients undergoing complex procedures in the IR suite.
