Dr. Shunsuke Sugawara graduated from Yokohama City University in 2003 and completed radiology training in Japan before earning board certification from the Japanese Radiological Society in 2008 and from the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology in 2012. He commenced his professional career at the National Cancer Center Hospital in 2012, focusing on interventional oncology, including nonvascular interventions. In 2017, he undertook further training at Institut Gustave Roussy in France. Since 2025, he has served as Chief of the Interventional Radiology Center at the National Cancer Center Hospital.
