Tian-Qi Zhang is an associate professor of Department of Minimally Invasive Interventional Therapy of Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center. He is also member and secretary of the Tumor Ultrasound Therapy Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association; youth membership of the Interventional Medicine Professional Committee of the Chinese Association of Research Hospitals; member of the Health Science Popularization Expert Database of Guangdong Provincial Health Commission; young member of the Minimally Invasive Tumor Intervention Professional Committee of Guangdong Anti-Cancer Association; member of the Gastrointestinal Tumor Committee of the Guangdong Precision Medicine and Application Association.


He published 10 more papers including STTT, JVIR, CVIR etc. as the first author. In the field of tumor ablation, Prof. Zhang have successfully addressed multiple technical challenges through basic and clinical trials, enabling precise, standardized, and effective ablation therapy, thus providing a strong scientific basis for clinical application. Additionally, he has reported a triple-combination therapy involving hepatic artery infusion chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, which has doubled the response rate and significantly extended patient survival (STTT 2023). His research also includes the exploration of combining focused ultrasound with immunotherapy, which has shown promising results in patients with advanced, treatment-resistant tumors, with ongoing studies into the underlying mechanisms. In pediatric oncology, he has led efforts to introduce interventional solutions for recurrent solid tumors, achieving significant advancements from biopsy to interventional ablation.
