Associate Professor Somrach Thamtorawat, M.D. is Head of the Siriraj Center of Interventional Radiology (SiCIR), a Center of Excellence at Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.

He currently serves as Scientific Chair of the Royal College of Radiologists of Thailand (RCRT), Vice President of the Thai Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (TSVIR), and Executive Committee Member of the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSCVIR).

His main clinical and academic interests are interventional oncology, tumor ablation, liver-directed therapy, embolization, and image-guided minimally invasive treatment. He is actively involved in IR education, fellowship training, national guideline development, and promoting wider access to interventional radiology services in Thailand.
